Two teams from London South Bank University have been shortlisted in the 18-25 yrs age group category of the Home of 2030 Young Persons’ Challenge.

Congratulations to the ‘Perfect Green Construction’ team of Simranjeet Lidhar, Mitchell Kirycuk, Abidemi Temidire, Jenkins Entee, Matias Girmay and Abidifatah Matan, and ‘Sustineri’ consisting of Sahibur Choudhury, Michal Lisz, Karina Hancco Huaynillo and Renzo Aaron Dela Cruz.

Homes Designed for Residents of all Ages – Perfect Green Construction

The team’s idea: Our design for the Home of 2030 is sustainable, practical and spacious as well as involving eco-friendly qualities; featuring solar panels and accessible zones for plant growth. The South elevation is inviting with a unique and stylish walkway leading to the entrance of the home, whilst the top half is equally as eye-catching.

Embodying the Needs of the Future – Sustineri

The team’s idea: We are faced with a historically-important step for housing, which stems from the drive to protect the future environment. This has led to the desire to establish a generation of new homes for the 21st century; a more sustainable approach to the designing and constructing of houses. The history of housing in the last century provides a clearer understanding of what has been done before and a more sensible view of how we can confront the challenges of today and tomorrow. With the irreversible demographic and societal changes approaching in the near future, the way we choose to design sustainably will be a pivotal point in the history of housing. We, Sustineri, have designed a sustainable home that embodies the needs of the future while acknowledging both the past and the present. A design that encourages healthy wellbeing as well as accommodating the ever-growing lifestyles of people.
